Annual Student Poster Showcase

The Student Poster Showcase is an annual event hosted by the Frances McClelland Institute, bringing together graduate and undergraduate students to present research aimed at improving the lives of children, youth, and families.
Last year, 38 students participated in this in-person event, showcasing diverse projects:
  • Independent Research: Many students presented projects conducted with mentorship from Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) faculty.
  • Course-Based Projects: Students from Dr. Ric Wood’s FSHD 408 - Program Planning and Evaluation course shared their end-of-semester projects, which involved developing or evaluating programs designed to support individuals and families in schools and communities.
  • Community-Engaged Internships: Eight students participated in a paid internship program that provided hands-on experience in applied research, non-profit agency operations, and opportunities to connect classroom knowledge to real-world settings while building valuable transferable skills.
This inspiring event highlights the incredible work of our students and their dedication to making a positive impact on society.
